Urgent care again

There was some rough housing taking place in the living room after breakfast on Saturday morning. Alexa and Gavin had ahold of each others hands and were spinning in circles. Tysen decided to jump in and tackle them. He succeeded in knocking them down, however they both fell on top of him. He started screaming and we pulled the other kids off. His foot was hurt. After he stopped crying, Matt took a look. (I love being married to a PT!) The top of Tysen's left foot was very tender and he was not able to walk on it. We put ice on it and waited an hour, but the pain didn't improve and Matt noticed swelling. We decided it would be best to just go get it checked out at Children's urgent care. Matt stayed at home with the other kids and Tysen and I went to see a doctor. They sent us for X-rays immediately and then we had to wait over an hour for the radiologist to read them and send a report. We got excellent news that there were no fractures and we went home with instructions to ice, rest, and give Tylenol or ibuprofen for pain. I'm still glad that I took him in because 2 days later he is still limping and his foot is bruised. The doctor said that if he's not better in 7 days that we will need to bring him back. I think he's going to be fine!
