We are loving the cooler temperatures this week! We got out of the house last night and went to Hoover Dam for a walk and to let Alexa practice riding her run bike.

She's doing well with the run bike, but it's difficult for her since she is just barely tall enough to sit on the seat and touch the ground with her tip-toes.

Taking a rest break from the bike to look at the water flowing over the dam. She spotted some ducks below.

Playing on the playground

Gavin fell asleep in the car on the way there and never woke up to enjoy the scenery.

Playing in the sprinkler again

He's so happy!

On our way to the pool

Haha! He wants to wear them like Daddy!

We went to a Clippers baseball game on Saturday night. We were having a great time until it started raining! Alexa's favorite part was the bird mascot- Krash, the hot dog races, and the popcorn.

We heard thunder and she's looking for rain!

6/20/2010 Happy Father's Day

We had a fabulous Father's Day. After lunch, our family went to the pool. The kids had a blast playing in the water.

It was a perfect day to go to the pool.

Yeah, Gavin is a little big for this infant boat, but it gives him some freedom and lets us relax a little bit more.

Gavin is saying, "More!" He wants to get back in.

Alexa is watering the cement with her watering can.

After the pool, we came home and ate Daddy's special strawberry cake. Then we all took a three hour nap! It was great!

Once we were all rested up, we had a quick supper and then headed to the movie theater to see "Toy Story 3!"

Alexa was so excited! She's been talking about seeing the movie for weeks now!

She brought her Woody and Buzz toys to the theater.

Can you believe this bag of popcorn cost $6.50?

During the previews, Alexa said, "I have to go potty! Put it on pause, Mommy!" Luckily we made it back before the movie started.

Gavin and Sheriff Woody

The movie was great! We all enjoyed it.

I had to work this morning, so Daddy took the kids to OSU for the bicycle fair. They had fun stuff for kids, too, including face painting.

Beautiful! She's very proud of her butterflies!

Gavin's first face painting! He held really still.
Daddy wasn't able to get a good picture of it, but it is the "block O" for Ohio State with a buckeye and buckeye leaf. We asked Alexa what it was and she said, "An octagon!" She's right, we just weren't expecting her to say that! She's so smart for a 2 year old!
