Soccer and Lynd's Fruit Farm

Alexa and Gavin played soccer on Sunday afternoon. It was a gorgeous day and another parent mentioned that they were taking their family to Lynd's fruit farm afterwards. We had never been, but it sounded like fun and the kids were excited to go.
Alexa and Gavin both played great! They each scored several times. Gavin scored 5 times! He's kind of in the middle of two age/ability groups and Sunday he played with the younger group. Next week, the coaches moved him up with the big boys.
Giant chair!
Introduced the kids to kettle corn. Yummy!

New Albany Walking Classic

On Friday before the NAWC, the K-1 school had their own 1 mile fun walk. I did this walk with Alexa last year, so it was fun to walk with Gavin's class this year.
Gavin's buddies

Erika was happy in the hiking backpack.
It was a really warm September morning.

A quick picture of Gavin before he had to go back to class.

The younger kids wanted to play for a little bit before we headed home. Tysen and Bowen were so proud of their finisher's medals.

On Sunday, I completed the 10K walk with some coworkers. We added some mileage by starting at my house and running to the starting line. At the end, we had done 10 miles 😉

Our little soccer players

Alexa and Gavin are playing soccer for the first time this fall. They really love it.
I was so impressed with Alexa. I didn't even know that she knew how to play. She goes right after the ball and she's not afraid of anything.

It was a little difficult to get pictures of Gavin. He's got bright green shoes on.

New Metro Park

A new metro park recently opened and it's just minutes from our house. We checked it out this weekend and now the kids ask to go there everyday!

Tysen is an excellent climber.
Bowen loves the roller slide.

Matching sneakers 😄
She's so beautiful.

She loves being independent.
This park is so amazing that we had our first Girl Scout Brownies meeting here.
