Alexa says that Erika has "sugar rush."
Happy birthday, sweet girl. We all love you so very much. Alexa still loves you, even though you are pulling her hair.

Last Day of School

Grandma Briggs and Tysen walked Alexa to the bus stop on the last day.
Gavin's class had pajama day on the last day.
Gavin's neighborhood kindergarten buddies

After the kids were off to school, I started to prepare for an epic water balloon fight that the parents were planning for when the bus dropped off our kids.
Tysen and Bowen are ready!

It was so much fun!

Deer Creek

Alexa competed in her first duathlon on Saturday at Deer Creek. She really wanted to do the triathlon, but we need to improve her swim a little bit before she's ready for open water. The kids (10 years and under) duathlon distances were: run 1/4 mile, bike 3.1 miles, run 1/2 mile.
Body marking (using a Sharpie to write her number on her bicep and calf)

Love her tri suit!
She really wanted to swim. Hopefully she will work hard in the pool so she can do a triathlon this summer.

I don't have pictures of her finish because I was video taping it. Here she had just finished and was cheering for her friend that was just starting her run.
Alexa's finisher's medal
Alexa went to check her results and found out that she placed 2nd in her age group!
On Sunday, Matt and I both competed in the Olympic distance triathlon.
This is me on the run course with about a half mile to go. It was a hot day. I was ready to be done.
Sorry, no pictures of Matt because he finished way before me. He did place 4th in his age group. Nice job!
