Trick- Or- Treat
Just after we got Alexa into her costume, a trick-or-treater rang our doorbell. Alexa came with me to answer the door. When we opened the door, Alexa came face-to-face with another Elmo! I wish that I could have captured the look on their faces. It was a little boy the same age as Alexa. They hugged each other and Alexa gave him lots of candy. He also had the same Elmo treat bucket.

Alexa was a little scared of the ghost at first. It was noise activated so it started moving and making scary noises when we walked by. Once we got past the ghost, Alexa turned and said, "Good-bye, Ghost!" as she waved! It was adorable!

I took Alexa to the New Albany fire station for cider and donuts with the firemen. She loved seeing the big fire trucks.

Alexa had fun taking all the candy out of the bucket and then putting it all back inside. She ate a package of M&M's.

Poor baby Gavin is sick. He's running a high fever due to an ear infection. His pediatrician started him on Amoxicillin, so hopefully he starts feeling better soon. Unfortunately, he missed his first trick-or-treating experience. He stayed home with Daddy while Mommy took Alexa around the block.

It was a beautiful fall day so we all went for a wagon ride. Of course, Elmo had to come along, too! This is Alexa's favorite Elmo (specifically known as "Big Elmo"). He weighs as much as Alexa, so I felt like I had a third child back there as I was pulling them to the park.
Gavin liked going down the slide.

Elmo's turn! Alexa thought this was hilarious!

Alexa's going to help Gavin go down the slide. She's such a good big sister!

Look at her hair!

Stretching out on the way home
(I don't know how she managed to get that way with her seat belt on...)

Gavin is trying more new foods. He loves shredded cheese. Most of it ended up down his overalls!

My sister-in-law, Christina, sent me this music birthday card. Alexa is having a blast dancing and playing with it.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Alexa! The Briggs family went to the Columbus Zoo to celebrate. They had a fun Halloween event going on for the kids called Boo at the Zoo. The kids dressed up in costumes.

I've been calling Gavin "Lil Bow Wow" all evening! He's so cute!

Alexa and Gavin are watching the fish and manatees swimming.

A zebra has escaped!

It's a good thing the zebra is so sweet!

The carousel is Alexa's favorite! She cried when we had to leave.

She is so happy!

Daddy is watching the puppy dog while Alexa and Mommy ride the carousel.

Look at that cute tail!

The zebra and dog are playing very nicely together.

The zebra is on the loose!

Here's the homemade Elmo Cupcake Cake that I made for Alexa's party! I dreamed this up in my head one night when I couldn't sleep. His pupils are Oreo cookies and for his mouth I frosted a Fruit Roll-Up. If I tried to frost over the red, I would have just smeared it. The Fruit Roll-Up allowed me to just lay the mouth where I wanted it and then I outlined it. Everyone liked it at the party, but nobody wanted to eat the cupcakes because they didn't want to ruin the cake!

It's Party Time! I drew and colored this poster for Alexa. She loved it!

We were trying to get a nice family picture, but I guess the balloons are too much of a distraction.
We had an Elmo themed birthday party since he is Alexa's favorite little monster.

Pat is one of Alexa's caregivers at daycare.

This is Ms. Tierra with baby Jayah. She is Gavin's teacher at daycare.

Alexa's friends, Colin and Patrick, are decorating pumpkins with their mom.

Our friends Elizabeth, Morgan, and Bella are having fun.

Jimmy looks so cute in his Elmo party hat!

We had such a good turnout for the party. I couldn't believe how many friends Alexa has for only being 2 years old! She is such a lucky girl!

We got small pumpkins for all the kids to decorate with stickers and markers. Then they got to take their pumpkin home with them after the party.

Bella is writing her name on the pumpkin.

Here's Gavin's girlfriend, Keilan! Isn't she beautiful?

Gavin with Grandpa Calvin

Gavin was such a good (but tired) little boy during the whole birthday party.

We couldn't believe how many nice gifts that Alexa received for her birthday. She got so many wonderful toys, books, and clothes. She loves everything!

Our friends Lauren and Truitt

Alexa liked it when everybody sang "Happy Birthday."

She did a great job blowing out the candle.

Gavin liked the birthday cake!

Pat is reading a story to the children.

Jody and Andrea are Alexa's teachers from daycare.

Alexa's friend, Millie

Alexa is giving Millie a kiss goodbye.
Alexa is playing under the pool table with Andrea.

Today was Mommy's 28th birthday. Alexa is the best birthday present ever!
(My birthday is Oct 24th and Alexa's is Oct 25th)

This is at home after the party. Alexa had a great time but now she is enjoying relaxing on her new pillow and blanket that was made by Keilan's mom, Kristin.
