Look at me sitting up!

She just can't leave her socks on! She's working so hard at pulling them off that she's losing her balance. 

Just lounging!

Erika got a new high chair today and tried puffs for the first time. Tysen was excited to help. 

Not sure at first...she just froze and stared at me. 

Tysen giving her a kiss while the puffs get soggy in her mouth. She's still not sure what to do. 

Eventually she swallows some and decides they must be okay because she sure is happy. She loves the high chair. 

Then we tried banana chunks. She's had smooth, blended banana before, but never chunks. She liked them, but would move them around her mouth and then push them out instead of swallowing. We'll have to work on that!

New construction

Bowen spent most of the day watching a new house being built across the street. He was so interested, he just rested his head on the back of the couch and stared out the window. Occasionally he would give me updates such as "They are digging! Lots of dirt! Big truck!"

Hello, happy baby!

Happy 6th Birthday, Gavin!

We started Gavin's special day off with donuts for breakfast, with 6 candles of course. 

After school, we had a celebration before I had to go to work. Gavin was really surprised when he saw the decorations. 

He's really into Pokemon (they didn't have Pokemon balloons, so there's a random race car balloon- he didn't care. He loved everything!)

Tysen and Bowen were still napping when the older kids came home from school. I went up to wake them. Bowen wouldn't get up. Tysen came as quick as he could when he heard "cupcakes!"

I took some pictures of the house recently to share with my grandparents that haven't seen it yet. 

I love this custom table. It's so perfect for us. We never use our dining room because it's carpeted, and well...we have 5 kids! We love the view from our back door, too. 

I haven't decided how I want to decorate the living room yet. It's so big with the vaulted ceiling. It definitely needs some color. I think I'll start with curtains and then the fireplace mantle.
