Good Morning!

I bought these adorable polar bear cozy pajamas for the boys a few weeks ago.  Alexa loved them as soon as she saw them.  As she looked in the empty bag, she asked disappointingly, "But, Mommy, where's mine?"  I hadn't realized that she would want to wear boys' footed pajamas, but I instantly felt bad for leaving her out.  I went back and bought her a pair and I'm so glad I did because they all look so adorable matching. Plus, next year Gavin will wear her size, and then Tysen, and then Bowen will follow so I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of them over the next few years!

Labor Day weekend

It just occurred to me that I hadn't posted pictures from our fun Labor Day weekend when the Obermire family came to visit us!  We had such a good time that I didn't want to leave these pictures out even though so much time has passed.
Snuggling in for a movie night while the dads went out.
Waiting for the popcorn

Kara reading bedtime stories.

Alexa and Emme slept in the football tent.

Took the kids for a walk to visit the ducks

We ordered pizza and ate it outside on the front porch while the dads were out for a long bike ride.

The girls are being silly.  Alexa is making olive eyes.

Kara and Bowen

We had a glow in the dark dance party one night.  The girls really enjoyed that.  They even put bracelets on Gabbi.  Gabbi wasn't too thrilled.

Another fun activity, Build-A-Bear Workshop!  Kara and I just took Gavin, Alexa, and Emme and the dads, Bowen, and Tysen stayed home.  Alexa surprised me by not picking Hello Kitty, instead she wanted a horse.  Emme picked a pink Hello Kitty and Gavin picked a patriotic bear.

They are waiting for their turn to stuff their animals.

Giving their animals a bath

All done!

We took the kids to the zoo for some fun rides.
Such a fun and exciting ride

Riding in the caboose
Tea cups!
I rode the tea cup with Tysen.  He giggled lots.

I don't know why my kids always like looking for ducks off this bridge at the zoo.  I mean really, there are much better animals to discover at the zoo than ducks that we can see everyday!  But every single time we visit the zoo, they stop here to take a look.  Silly kids!

Hugs for the polar bear

Gavin, Alexa, and Emme love the carousel!

Tysen was terrified at first, but then he relaxed once we got going!

Watching the penguins swim

Alexa says, "That one's a girl because she has a purple bracelet on!"
(referring to the identification band)

Face painting!  Alexa and Emme picked the Hello Kitty design right away.  Actually, so did Gavin!  I had a hard time trying to get him to pick something else.  Finally, I found a Spider-Man design and he loved that!

Gavin and Emme are patiently waiting their turn.

Pretty girls

Emme and her daddy

Gavin's paint turned out great!  He loved it.

We didn't want Tysen to feel left out so we picked out something small for him since we figured he'd rub it off soon anyways.

Nemo the clown fish
Tysen liked it.

Waiting in line to see the new baby tiger cubs

A short video of the kids on the carousel- Tysen's expression cracks me up!  Alexa and Gavin have always been so brave and willing to try new things, but Tysen is our sensitive and cautious child (at first anyways, he warms up quickly).

More fun at the zoo- lots of giggles

A short clip from the dance party, can't see much but you get the idea.
