Just catching up!

I've been so busy recently that I've really fallen behind on updating the blog with new pictures.
Tysen loves to hold Erika while watching a movie. Erika loves him, too.
Erika is teething and sticking everything in her mouth, including her feet!

My favorite pajamas of hers!
We celebrated Tysen's 4th birthday on December 18th. He enjoyed us singing to him at breakfast.
Erika recently had her 6 month wellness checkup where we learned that she hasn't gained much weight since her 4 month check. Since she was a newborn, Erika has always vomited multiple times after every feeding. I've always been concerned, but since she had been gaining like a champ and not fussy, the pediatrician assured me that she was fine, she's outgrow it, and that there was no reason to worry unless she quit gaining weight or was in pain. While we were waiting to be seen in the exam room, I fed Erika so that the pediatrician could see what happens. Sure enough, Erika vomited 6 times during our short visit, smiling the whole time. I explained how this is normal, she does this after each feeding. Now they are a bit concerned so she has been started on a reflux medication (which hasn't helped at all) and will be undergoing allergy testing as well as GI imaging studies to help determine why she vomits so much. I hope she's not allergic to breast milk, the pediatrician said that was rare. Other than the vomiting and minimal weight gain, Erika had a great checkup.
I recently had the opportunity to join a great group of women cyclists for a 33 mile winter bike ride.

Bowen loves the pool.

Tysen doesn't trust the life jackets.

Cuddled up together again.

Thanksgiving 2014

Our Thanksgiving started off with a chilly race. Alexa, Gavin, Tysen, and Bowen all ran in the tot trot. They looked so funny with their tee shirts over their big, puffy winter coats!
The kids are showing off their finishers medals. Tysen is sad because he was lost briefly in the massive crowd and it really scared him.
Alexa had told her teacher that we were running in a turkey trot and her teacher told her that she was also running in a turkey trot, but in a different city. Once we  finished, Alexa wanted me to email her teacher this picture.
We can all agree with this bib. We are so thankful for Baby Erika.
This turkey hat is awesome! Erika's first Thanksgiving.
And my matching little girls! So cute!

And football! Cheering on the Buckeyes

Snowflake cookies

Such a simple but tasty kid-friendly activity. Google "snowflake tortilla cookie" if you want specific instructions.
Only 4 ingredients: flour tortillas, melted butter, sugar, cinnamon.
