Swimming, Camping, and Triathlon

Our busy weekend consisted of fun pool time for the kids while Mommy and then Daddy had swim lessons! That's usually the other way around!

It was fun being on campus on a game day.

But we didn't stick around for the game.  We loaded up the van and drove to Deer Creek State Park and set up our tent in the campground.

Alexa is collecting sticks for a bonfire.  Gabbi enjoyed camping.

Gavin and Tysen had a blast playing in the dirt and getting filthy.

It got dark quickly and the kids are hanging out while Daddy gets the fire started.

She is so excited about the fire.

Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows

Gavin has a mouthful of marshmallow.

Tysen is being so careful not to drop his hotdog.  He worked really hard.

Early the next morning we had a short drive over to the beach where Daddy was competing in a sprint distance triathlon.  Although Daddy was racing, Mommy was exhausted after keeping track of 4 kids and a large dog.

Alexa is picking me flowers.

Saying a quick goodbye before he has to go find his place

Matt coming out of the water and taking his wetsuit off as he runs to the transition area to get on his bike.

The kids had fun at a small playground while Daddy raced.

And he's done! Way to go, Matt!

This is a short video of Matt crossing the finish line to win 1st place!
