Alexa's 100th Day of School

Two days ago, I received an email from Alexa's kindergarten teacher informing parents that Thursday would be the kids' 100th day of school. She also asked that the parents and child work together on a project and design a t-shirt representing 100 items. Although it wasn't required, it stressed me out a tad with the short notice. We searched the internet for some ideas (since when did celebrating the 100th day become popular anyways? I never did this in school.) and Alexa picked her favorite. A quick trip to Michael's for some craft supplies and we got to work.
Alexa is counting 100 pom poms (gum balls).
I applied the glue and she applied 99 gum balls in the gum ball machine and it was her idea to put the 100th in the little door.
Pushing them all down in the glue- hoping they all stay put throughout the school day (they DID NOT)
The finished project! Alexa was really proud of it.
She couldn't wait to get to school and show her teacher and friends! (Turns out only 2 other students finished the project.)
