We had a wonderful Sunday. The day started off with nice workouts for Matt and I. First he went for a 7 mile run, then when he got home I had time for a 2 mile run before we had to get everybody ready for church. I was so excited that we were 10 minutes early for Mass! That never happens with our family!!! The kids were pretty good during church. Then we went home and the kids had a blast playing with our new sprinkler beach ball in the backyard while I made lunch. We enjoyed our turkey tacos and fresh fruit. We had watermelon so it was nice that the kids could just run through the sprinkler and get clean! Alexa also helped me plant some flowers. They burned off lots of energy so they later took nice long naps (makes Mommy and Daddy very happy). During nap time, Matt was able to work on homework and I needed to run some errands. I got my iPhone replaced at the Apple Store (battery issues), then got a pedicure, did some shopping, got the front wheels of our new double stroller replaced (they kept clicking into the locked position), and bought some more flowers to plant. I was able to accomplish all that and the kids were still asleep once I got home. It would have been the perfect day except that once Alexa woke up, she complained that her ears were hurting which resulted in a trip to urgent care (see later post- sorry they are out of order).
Once Alexa and I got home, we had a late supper and then went for an evening walk as a family. Then we read a few books before bed. I love spending so much time together on the weekends. I really miss that now that I am working the night shift during the week.
(If you noticed in the pictures below, Matt and I are eating off our folding card table. We are in the market for some new outdoor furniture. We are just waiting for the best deal. Let us know if you see any good sales! )
