Bowen's Baptism 4/29/2012

This is Bowen on the morning of his baptism. He looks so handsome in his special white outfit. It's the same outfit that Gavin and Tysen wore for their baptisms.
We tried to get a decent family picture before the baptism, but the kids had already sat through church service and it was too close to lunch and nap time. Needless to say, they were pretty cranky and we didn't get very good pictures.
We felt so blessed that our families were able to be there for this special day and for our special baby.

Father Roc O'Connor was the priest that baptized Bowen. He did a wonderful job.

Grandad and Grandma Briggs are Bowen's Godparents.

Father Roc O'Connor let Alexa help with the candle. Matt and I were holding our breath that she didn't catch anything on fire. Luckily, she did a great job and nobody got hurt!

Papa Calvin and Grandma Karla with the grandkids.
After the baptism, the whole family went out for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Omaha- Spaghetti Works! Now that Tysen's had some food, he'll smile for the camera.

Alexa must think she's a princess surrounded by all these boys!

Big 10 Baseball Tournament

Our family got to go to a baseball game tonight at Huntington Park for free! Can't beat that!

Red Oak

My goal this weekend is to get the blog caught up on the rest of our pictures from our trip back home in April! I apologize that they are out of order, but here they are!
These pictures below were taken the day we spent in Red Oak. Grandpa and Grandma McGrew wanted to take the kids to the park. Matthew was out riding bikes with Great-Grandpa Wayne.

Inniswood Metro Park

The kids and I spent the day at Inniswoods. The park is beautiful and there were so many fun things for the kids to explore.
The kids found the water feature. They love to get wet!

An interesting little tree house
Collecting pinecones
My nature girl collecting sticks to build "something."
Looking for fish in the stream
Alexa, Gavin, and Tysen on a log

Pointing out butterflies

Ice cream

After spending the hot day at the park, I treated the kids to ice cream. They were so excited to go to McDonald's (or Old McDonald's as Alexa calls it).

Poor little Tysen can't have ice cream due to his milk allergy, so I got him the new cherry berry chiller. He LOVED it! He downed half of it which is a lot for a one year old!
Gavin is eating his cone from both ends. It didn't end well....
She's looking sleepy!
