Lady Tutu 5K
Alexa has been wanting and asking to run a 5K race. We've practiced a few times so she knew how far 3 miles was and she still was excited to do it. I saw an advertisement for the Lady Tutu 5K and thought it would be perfect. There were lots of other little girls and we also got to make our own tutus. I asked Alexa what colors she wanted and she wanted rainbow tutus. I got lucky and found those leg/arm warmers on clearance at Target and not only did they match our tutu, but it was sooooo cold that morning that we were glad to have them.
Like mother like daughter....
I was really proud of Alexa. She ran most of the race and only walked briefly before picking up the pace again.
We got lots of compliments on our outfits!
Alexa finished in about 43 minutes. She loves her finishers medal and it proudly hangs in her bedroom.
We had made Erika a matching rainbow tutu, but it was too cold that morning for all the kids so they stayed home with Daddy.

Busy weekend
By the end of the year, she will earn petal badges to go all around the center circle.

There was a drawing and Alexa won a t-shirt and water bottle.
And I was the grand prize winner!!! I won a $200 gift card to the bike store.
Afterwards we walked next door and enjoyed ice cream

Sick Erika
Her top two teeth have broken through her gums now. That gives her 5 teeth.
