We had our good friends over for tacos tonight. We love getting to see baby Truitt.

Gavin was exhausted by the end of the night.

Alexa must have learned about pacifiers at daycare because neither of our kids ever used them. She's trying so hard to get it in Truitt's mouth! I was impressed by how gentle she was being.

All ready for church

Such a handsome little guy!

After church we enjoyed the nice warm weather (67 degrees) by sitting outside in our rocking chairs on the front porch. Alexa and Daddy read the Sunday newspaper.

She loves her brother. I didn't even tell her to give him a kiss this time. She likes him sitting next to her.

Gavin is doing a pretty good job of sitting up with some support.

Alexa is such a good big sister. She's holding Gavin and kissing the top of his head.

Just lounging

I spent about a half hour on Saturday working with Gavin on rolling over. He's definitely strong enough to do it, he just hasn't quite figured out the coordination. He's so close! Maybe tomorrow he'll do it.

Still Struggling!

He was trying so hard to roll over that he made the right side of his face all red!

Alexa is trying to play with Gavin. She's giving him toys. What a nice sister she is to share!

She's putting one of the rings on his hand.

He's watching Alexa run around. He's absolutely fascinated by her. If she's in the room, he won't take his eyes off her.

Alexa has discovered how to turn a doorknob. She wants to let Gabbi in the back door.

I had to stop this video short because I was afraid that Alexa was going to poke Gavin in the eye. She is learning parts of the face and she loves to point to the mouth, teeth, ears, nose, and her favorite- the eyes. She has also learned the word "mole" and will point to Daddy's mole. It's so funny because when she says it, it comes out sounding like "Mow!"

I'm chasing Alexa around. It's so cute to see her run.

We've started potty-training early for Alexa in the hopes that we can decrease the amount of time we have two little ones in diapers. She's doing amazingly well! She's pooped or peed in the potty every night this past week. She gets excited when she's done because we praise her so much and she likes to look in the potty to see what she did.

Gavin is really interested in whatever Alexa is doing. Take notes, Buddy! It won't be long before you get to sit on there!

We bought Gavin a bouncer/entertainer. He's still a little young for it (they recommend 4 months) but I can already tell that he's going to love it. He's already noticing all the toys.

I would love to get a good picture of me holding both kids, but it always seems that at least one of them won't cooperate (and it's usually Alexa). Oh well, I still think it's a cute picture and someday I'll look back on it and laugh about how stubborn she was.

Gavin now weighs 13 lbs! He's such a big boy.

It wasn't that long ago that Alexa was wearing this sleeper. I am glad that we get to reuse it because it was one of my favorites. It is made of really soft, warm fleece.

Alexa likes to grab Gavin's feet and say, "tick-a-tick-a-tick-a!"
She must have learned that from Daddy because he tickles her feet often.

We may have a thumb-sucker.

Gavin is 11 weeks old today.

Gavin loves his big sister. Alexa's tired of sitting still. She wants to go play. No more pictures.
