Here's the homemade Elmo Cupcake Cake that I made for Alexa's party! I dreamed this up in my head one night when I couldn't sleep. His pupils are Oreo cookies and for his mouth I frosted a Fruit Roll-Up. If I tried to frost over the red, I would have just smeared it. The Fruit Roll-Up allowed me to just lay the mouth where I wanted it and then I outlined it. Everyone liked it at the party, but nobody wanted to eat the cupcakes because they didn't want to ruin the cake!
We were trying to get a nice family picture, but I guess the balloons are too much of a distraction.
We had an Elmo themed birthday party since he is Alexa's favorite little monster.
Pat is one of Alexa's caregivers at daycare.
This is Ms. Tierra with baby Jayah. She is Gavin's teacher at daycare.
Alexa's friends, Colin and Patrick, are decorating pumpkins with their mom.
Our friends Elizabeth, Morgan, and Bella are having fun.
Jimmy looks so cute in his Elmo party hat!
We had such a good turnout for the party. I couldn't believe how many friends Alexa has for only being 2 years old! She is such a lucky girl!
We got small pumpkins for all the kids to decorate with stickers and markers. Then they got to take their pumpkin home with them after the party.
Bella is writing her name on the pumpkin.
Gavin with his good buddy, Truitt
Our friend Kristie
Gavin with Grandpa Calvin
Gavin was such a good (but tired) little boy during the whole birthday party.
We couldn't believe how many nice gifts that Alexa received for her birthday. She got so many wonderful toys, books, and clothes. She loves everything!
Our friends Amanda and Wyatt
Our friends Lauren and Truitt
Alexa liked it when everybody sang "Happy Birthday."
She did a great job blowing out the candle.
