Alexa 21 months old

Gavin 6 months old

We had a fun playdate with our neighbor, Truitt, tonight. I was changing Gavin into his sleeper and telling Truitt's mom, Lauren, how it was my favorite. I liked it so much in fact, that when it went on sale, I bought 3 of them (all in different sizes) so that Gavin wouldn't grow out of it until he was 2 years old. Then I decided to give one to Truitt and she changed him into it as well. The boys looked so cute! We were taking pictures of them when Alexa picked up the 3rd package and brought it to me and said, "Mine!" She must have felt left out. The package she had was the largest and just happened to fit her, even though she looked like a little boy.

I can't believe we got them all to sit still long enough for us to take this many pictures!

Our family went to Alum Creek this afternoon. Daddy stayed with the kids at the playground while Mommy went running up along the dam. Alexa loved the teeter totter and she made a new friend.

While Daddy was studying, Mommy decided to do something very brave (or stupid). I took both Alexa and Gavin to the pool by myself. Thank goodness for the floaties!

Gavin started fussing because he was getting tired, but Alexa wasn't ready to leave yet. I had a great idea to flip him around in the float and he went right to sleep! Such an adorable beach bum!

Gavin's new car seat

We took the kids on a walk at Hoover Reservoir tonight. Alexa was very excited to see the ducks and geese.

I had to pick her up because she wanted to get in the water with the ducks!

Alexa "quacked" on the way back to the car.

Tonight was the first time that Alexa has shown interest in watching television with us. Daddy was watching Godzilla and Alexa climbed up on the couch next to him.

The movie was getting a little intense.

I hope this doesn't give her nightmares.

Too many toys!

Gavin is watching Alexa.

Gavin is doing a great job of sitting up by himself!

This video shows Alexa doing what she does best- making messes and walking away! Gavin is so excited when she dumps all the toys out. He tries to scoop them all up like he hit the jackpot!
