We went out to eat at Red Robin tonight. Red was walking around to the tables to say hello to the children. Alexa was excited to see him. She started talking away to him like they were best friends. She even asked him where the snipe, Kevin, was! I was laughing! Red didn't understand who the snipe was (from the movie
Up). I was proud of Alexa for making the connection that they were both birds. Gavin even gave Red a high-five.
She is telling Red that his beak is yellow.
I took Alexa to the library on Monday. She had a blast picking out all sorts of books in the children's section. She picked out
Cars,
Curious George, and
Winnie the Pooh. She also found a book about a snowman and puppies. Then she also picked out a few DVDs including a new Elmo movie that she hadn't seen (and here I'd thought we'd seen them ALL).

This has got to be the sweetest photo that I've ever taken. Daddy and Alexa fell asleep on the couch Sunday afternoon while watching
Finding Nemo. I love how Alexa is using
Nemo as a pillow and the tail fin is tucked under Daddy's chin.
After her nap she helped me make some lemon cupcakes. She was very excited that we used Elmo paper liners. She's been calling them Elmo cupcakes ever since!

We made a small cake with the leftover batter and Alexa decorated the top. She used LOTS of sprinkles!
