Alexa holding her very own movie ticket!
Gavin's first time in the movie theater!
They really should make these 3D glasses in children's sizes, too.
We took the kids to see the movie "How to Train Your Dragon" in the Imax 3D. Gavin was such a good boy. He sat through the whole movie (and did not fall asleep, either). Daddy had to hold his glasses on because they were too big. The glasses must have made it pretty realistic for him because he was jumping and ducking during some of the action scenes! Alexa loved the movie, too, although some parts were too scary for her. She actually screamed a few times and climbed over the arm rest to get closer to me.
Gavin is relaxing in the shade. We were hanging out on the front porch this afternoon while Alexa was napping.
We took their Sesame Street ball outside to kick around.
Alexa just threw the ball at Gavin. He tried to catch it, but it hit him in the face. He laughed anyways!
He thinks he's a big boy now.
This always happens right after I vacuum.
I took the kids on a picnic tonight at Hoover Dam. I was a little nervous about keeping track of them both, but Gavin made it easy on me by sleeping through the picnic part! Daddy is in California for the next 3 days.
She loves veggie pizza!
After the picnic we took a long walk and got to see lots of geese. The kids loved that.
I am so happy to have my favorite stroller back. I wasn't able to use it for about 10 days after the two rear tires exploded. Matthew had put air in them the night before. It was dark when he did it and he thought the tire said max psi 65, so that's how much air he put in. Well, the next day when I was leaving work, there was a huge explosion inside my vehicle that scared me half to death! Apparently the tires have a max psi of 35 and since the stroller had been left in my hot vehicle all day, they expanded even more and finally blew up. Matthew felt really bad about it and contacted the company the next day. Baby Jogger shipped us two new tires, free of charge, and no questions! Love them!
Alexa and I did a fun activity this morning. I found these fruit-shaped gel window clings in the dollar bin at Target. I thought it would be an interesting learning activity for Alexa. While she put them on her bedroom window, we talked about each type of fruit, colors, and shapes. She really enjoyed it and was really excited and proud to show it off to Daddy when he came home. We had to put the clings on her bedroom window because the last time we used Christmas gel clings downstairs, we discovered that they were missing after we returned home one evening. We assumed that our dog, Gabbi, ate them. Alexa has been telling Gabbi, "No eat my stickers, Gabbi!" I think they will be safe in her bedroom because Gabbi isn't allowed to go in the kids' rooms.
