The kids receive the children's magazine Highlights High Five from Grandpa and Grandma McGrew. In this months issue, there was a special leaf guide and I thought the kids would enjoy going outside and finding leaves to identify. They loved the activity! Gavin kept yelling, "It's a match! I found a match!" and Alexa would skip ahead and say, "Let's make an observation!"
(Alexa is growing up and insists on dressing herself most days. Yes, she is wearing pajamas and dress shoes, but I thought she looked kinda cute.)
She found some Fir needles.

We also found pine cones and acorns.
We also had a lesson on not touching or eating the berries, even though they look so pretty.
Thanks for the magazine Grandpa and Grandma McGrew! The kids love getting it every month.
