My hospital puts on a nice "Breakfast with Santa" event for staff and their families before Christmas. It sure beats waiting in line at the mall!Alexa was excited to see Santa, although she got a little shy when she first saw him. She walked up to him holding my hand and then I lifted her onto his lap. She was fine after that, especially when Santa gave her some candy! Gavin sat on Santa's lap, too, and he was giving us the strangest expressions with his eyes (see above picture). He was sitting really stiff and only moving his eyes! It didn't take long for him to relax either and by the time we were ready to leave, both Alexa and Gavin approached Santa on their own and gave him hugs.
Alexa told Santa that she wanted a BIG lollypop for Christmas! Later when we were eating our breakfast, she noticed that Santa had left the lobby (he was taking a break). She kept asking me if he was making her lollypop!
