Weekend in St. Louis, MO

The Gateway Arch

We traveled to St. Louis, Missouri this weekend for a wedding. It was our first long road trip with both Alexa and Gavin. People at the wedding said we were brave and were impressed that we would attempt a six hour trip with two little ones, but they don't know how lucky we are! Alexa and Gavin are the best kids ever and they made it so easy on us! There will definitely be more road trips in our future.

Alexa is eating goldfish crackers on our bed. We stayed at the Marriott in the historic Union Station.

We just had a quick breakfast and decided to go to the St. Louis zoo before the wedding on Saturday.

Alexa loved looking at the fish! I didn't think that we were going to be able to pull her away!

Alexa is braver than I am! I couldn't stand to even look at this statue and Alexa ran right up and tried to steal the snake's eggs!

Alexa didn't quite know what to think about the elephants. She just stared at them with a scowl on her face.

Surprisingly, Gavin seemed to love watching the fish, too! He was following the fish with his huge eyes.

Alexa was excited to see the monkeys. We asked her, "What do monkeys say?" and she replied, "Ooh Ooh Ooh!"

She's got a good view from up on Daddy's shoulders.

Alexa kept quacking at the peacock....not sure why.

It was a long day for the kids. I was surprised that they lasted as long as they did.

Time to dance! Alexa had a blast. She was even trying to drag Daddy out on the dance floor by taking hold of his finger and pulling in that direction.

Calling all single ladies out on the dance floor for the bouquet toss! Alexa participated, but we made sure that she didn't catch it!

This was Alexa and Gavin's first wedding.

Headed back to Ohio now. Alexa is entertaining herself with Mommy's sunglasses.

Gavin is exploring a new toy elephant's trunk.

Once we got home, we stretched out and played with the kids. Gavin threw up on Daddy. He looks like he feels better now!

Mommy's dance partner was falling asleep! He's so cute!
