Today was my first day back to work since having the baby. I can't believe how fast 8 weeks went by. Daddy had to drop the kids off at daycare since I had to be to work before they opened. Surprisingly, it went rather smoothly. We did baths the night before and laid out all their clothing and things that we needed to bring to make it as easy for Daddy as possible. I was told that the kids had a great day. Alexa enjoyed playing with her friends. There is another baby boy in the classroom and Alexa thinks he's her baby as well. Alexa and Gavin will be in the same room with the same teacher for about another month until they transition Alexa into the toddler room.

Gavin had his 2 month wellness check-up today. He received a total of 5 vaccinations (tetanus/diptheria/pertussis, polio, haemophilus influenza, pneumococcal, and rotavirus). Two were given in each thigh and one was oral. He cried loudly and had big tears running down his face. It broke my heart. On a happier note, he's healthy as can be! He now weighs 12 lbs and measures 22 inches long. Since we've been home he's been extra drowsy, but the doctor said that should be expected.
This weekend we started working with Alexa on drinking from a "big girl" cup. She's doing really well with the drinking part....however once she's done she likes to swing the cup around and then throw it on the ground. Gabbi enjoys licking up the milk off the floor.
