Planting Jelly Beans

Before our trip to the farm, Alexa, Gavin, and Tysen planted some jelly beans in Grandma McGrew's flower bed.

The kids were really excited about planting these special seeds.

I asked Alexa what she thought was going to grow from the jelly bean seeds and she thought a giant bean stalk.  Wouldn't we all have been very surprised....

They knew that the seeds would need water and lots of sunshine to grow.

And now we wait.........

Red Oak Easter Egg Hunt 2013

Due to rain, the egg hunt had to be relocated to the Red Oak YMCA.  We are standing in line to get inside.  It was really crowded.  The kids are anxious to see their cousins, Masen and Hudson.

It was so great to see my sister, Tianna!

My grandparents and mom even came all the way from Union, NE to watch the kids in the egg hunt!

There were so many kids there and it all happened so fast that I really didn't get any pictures of the actual hunt, just the full baskets afterwards.

Tysen was excited about chocolate.

Uncle Richard and Great-Grandpa Morse

My other sister, Kara, came all the way from Mound City, MO to watch her niece and nephews in the egg hunt.  These kids must be pretty special to a  lot of people!!!  It was so wonderful to spend some time with both of my sisters.

Gavin was really proud of all his treats and his Spider-man basket.

Cutie Hudson
Bowen enjoyed all the action

Trying to get this many little ones together for a picture when there's more exciting things going on all around them is impossible!

Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Donohue were also there to watch the kids.  They went up to the second floor so they could have a good view at the egg hunt down below.

Afterwards we were able to see the Easter Bunny
And the Easter Bunny gave the kids MORE Peeps
I turned away for a bit and Tysen started chowing down on his treats.  Does he look guilty or what!  The Easter Bunny should have brought tooth brushes!
Alexa is looking to see what's inside her eggs.  Their favorite surprises in the eggs were these little bouncy balls (which wouldn't have made it home with us because of the choking hazard with Bowen) and they had so much fun chasing them around the gymnasium after the egg hunt.

The Easter Bunny Found Us!

The kids are patiently posing for a picture before they go see what the Easter bunny left.

We are so lucky that Alexa and Gavin notified the Easter Bunny a few weeks ago so he would know to find us in Red Oak, Iowa this year.
Alexa loves her little walking pony.

Someone needs to tell Bowen that the Peeps actually taste better than the box!

Playing with some new toys before we need to leave for the egg hunt

Trip to Iowa & Nebraska

I recently traveled back to Iowa and Nebraska with the kids to spend Easter and Bowen's first birthday with family and friends.  I have tons of pictures that I can't wait to post but I've been so busy recently.  I will try to upload some everyday so keep checking back!
