6/20/2010 Happy Father's Day

We had a fabulous Father's Day. After lunch, our family went to the pool. The kids had a blast playing in the water.

It was a perfect day to go to the pool.

Yeah, Gavin is a little big for this infant boat, but it gives him some freedom and lets us relax a little bit more.

Gavin is saying, "More!" He wants to get back in.

Alexa is watering the cement with her watering can.

After the pool, we came home and ate Daddy's special strawberry cake. Then we all took a three hour nap! It was great!

Once we were all rested up, we had a quick supper and then headed to the movie theater to see "Toy Story 3!"

Alexa was so excited! She's been talking about seeing the movie for weeks now!

She brought her Woody and Buzz toys to the theater.

Can you believe this bag of popcorn cost $6.50?

During the previews, Alexa said, "I have to go potty! Put it on pause, Mommy!" Luckily we made it back before the movie started.

The movie was great! We all enjoyed it.

I had to work this morning, so Daddy took the kids to OSU for the bicycle fair. They had fun stuff for kids, too, including face painting.

Beautiful! She's very proud of her butterflies!

Gavin's first face painting! He held really still.
Daddy wasn't able to get a good picture of it, but it is the "block O" for Ohio State with a buckeye and buckeye leaf. We asked Alexa what it was and she said, "An octagon!" She's right, we just weren't expecting her to say that! She's so smart for a 2 year old!

Elefun!
I got the kids a new game today called Elefun. They loved it! It's an elephant with a long trunk and a fan inside blows little butterflies out the end and the kids try to catch them with little nets. Gavin was a little young for it, but he had a blast watching them fly out!

A butterfly landed on her head!

Look how many she caught!

This enormous toy pile was my little Sunday morning project. I sorted through everything and reorganized. We don't have an extra room in our house for a toy room, so we've tried to "hide" the kids' toys in a corner of the living room. I wanted to "hide" them a little more:)

Ah, much better! Now the kids can get back there more easily and hopefully they will only dump out one drawer at a time....hopefully.
*Note to Grandparents: These children do not need any more toys!

I got off work early today, so the kids and I went outside to play in the sprinkler. They love the water and had a blast!

Alexa was cracking me up! She was dancing in the water.

6/06/2010 COSI

We took the kids to COSI on Sunday afternoon. They enjoyed the Little Kids Space.

There are fans under the holes that make the purple balls float in the air. Alexa and Gavin thought that was pretty cool.

Alexa tried collecting as many balls as she could carry.

Look at her crazy hair!

The outdoor pool in our community opened this weekend and we took the kids swimming on Saturday evening.

It was cold, but surprising not nearly as freezing as we were expecting. The kids didn't mind the temperature at all!

Gavin just slipped and went under! I grabbed his arm and pulled him up. He was a little stunned, but not scared. I was surprised that he didn't cry.
