I dressed Gavin in Alexa's old buckeye outfit yesterday and I thought it would be interesting to see photos of how they looked at the same age in the same outfit. The top photo is Gavin and the bottom photo is Alexa. How cute!

3/08/2009 Arnold 5K Run

I decided last night that I wanted to run the Arnold 5K. I thought it might be a good experience to help motivate me to get into shape after having the babies (plus I was really hoping to see Arnold). So we got up early, drove down to the Columbus Convention Center, and loaded the babies in the double stroller. The weather was perfect for running but not too cool for the babies. Since I did not train for this event at all, my only goal was to finish. If you watch the last video at the end, you'll see that I succeeded.

Alexa liked watching all the people.

Gavin slept through the whole thing. I know he was cheering for me in his dreams :)

It made me really happy to see my family out supporting me! I got so many compliments from people telling me how adorable my babies are.

And finally...the end is in sight!

Gavin's getting his exercise.

Grandma Briggs and Aunt Christina had to leave today.

Alexa loves her baby brother. She's always giving him kisses and hugs.

We went to Target today and as we were pulling into the parking lot, Alexa starting pointing and saying, "Ball!"

We're getting more smiles everyday.

This is my doctor that delivered both Alexa and Gavin.

Alexa will climb our stairs tirelessly.

She's talking up a storm, just not speaking English yet!

Daddy and Gavin are hanging out while Mommy chases Alexa around the mall playground. Gavin is getting much stronger and better at holding his head up. I think he looks a lot like his daddy- what do you think?

Alexa loves wearing Daddy's hat.

Alexa is officially a big girl now. This weekend we flipped her car seat around so that she is now forward-facing. It's much easier to get her in the car now and her legs have more room to stretch out, plus we really enjoy being able to look back and see her.

Alexa got her first pair of Crocs. She really likes them, but sometimes she likes to pull them off and chew on them as well...

I've been trying to get a picture of Gavin's smiles and this is the best one so far. Usually it seems like as soon as I grab the camera he gets fussy or stops smiling.
