Matthew and I took Alexa swimming on Saturday to spend some quality time with her. We realize that it's probably been tough adjusting to having a baby brother in the house and we wanted to do something really fun. Matthew has a student membership to the gym at OSU and they have free weekend hours for family. Gavin stayed with our neighbor because we thought he's too little for the pool. This summer he'll be ready to join Alexa and he already has a new pair of board shorts!

At first, Alexa was very quiet and clingy in the water. It didn't take long for her to get excited and soon she was having a blast.

She wasn't quite ready to go down the water slide, but when the other kids weren't using it, Matt let her play on the very bottom of it. She liked the water spraying in her face!

Gavin wore this outfit to church this morning.

Gavin and Alexa both saw the pediatrician today- Gavin's 1 month and Alexa's 15 month check-ups. They are both doing great! Alexa weighs 26.5 lbs and is at the top of the curve for her age in weight, height, and head circumference. Gavin weighs 10 lbs, 6 oz and is in the 50-75% for everything. I looked back at Alexa's records and was surprised to see that at her 1 month check-up, she weighed 10 lbs, 4 oz but she started out much higher than Gavin did! She weighed 8 lbs, 6 oz at birth where he was only 7 lbs, 14 oz. I wonder if this is an indication that he's going to be a big boy?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Matthew and I were able to go to my good friend's wedding. Marie got married on Valentine's Day. She was so beautiful.

Matthew's family baby-sat for us while we were at the wedding. When we arrived to pick up the kids, they were both asleep. How cute!

Alexa and Masen are playing while Matthew and I pack our suitcases to come back home to Ohio. Our 2 week trip went by really fast.

Great-Grandparents come by to say good-bye.

Masen was scared to ride the tricycle, but he loved pushing Alexa around on it!
